  • Make a solution of water and white vinegar. Try to avoid using tsp water because it will contain chemicals that can damage your couch. Cleaner can also be used,under proper observation.
  • Take a cloth and dip in the solution. Don't take an excess amount of solution in cloth,it can ruin your expensive couch.
  • Scrub softy using the cloth. Always try to do small and small sections of the couch. After cleaning one section of the couch,dip the cloth again in solution and repeat this step.
  • Then take other dry clothes and dry the wet area of the couch.

Method of Getting Rid of Stains on a Leather Couch

  • When we find stains on the leather couch, we try to clean as soon as possible. If we clean fast it will help to get rid of stains more easily than it is dry. For cleaning stains we can use a couch cleanser. If this doesn't work then we can go for sprinkling baking soda or cornstarch on the stain. Let this stay on the stain for a few minutes and then brush away the residues.
  • If we face a problem with ink stains,take a cotton ball and dip in rubbing alcohol. Clean the ink stain with rubbing alcohol. After that take a clean cloth and dry the couch.
  • If stains of tea, coffee,drinks ruin your couch then take a couch cleanser and apply on the stain. Afterwards dry the couch with a dry cloth.
  • Dark stains on a light leather couch can be treated with tartar lemon cream. Mix the lemon and cream of tartar in equal potion. Apply on the stain and then leave it for 10 minutes. Dab a cloth to remove the mixture,then dry with a clean cloth.

Additional Method of Cleaning Leather Couch

  • Add 10 to 15 drops of lemon or tea oil to 2 cup of white vinegar, stir the solution well.
  • Take a cloth and dip in a conditioning solution. Gently rub the solution in circular motion. Let it dry,and keep it overnight.
  • The next day, take a cloth and clean the couch again to restore the shine of the couch. Repeat the conditioning every six to twelve months to maintain the leather couch shining.
